increase the size of the dumpdev. in my case, i checked and my primary dump device was paging space...i seperated it out, and the warnings went away. what's happening is as your box swaps, the amount of space free to dump to shrinks. by seperating them, you get a consistent dump size. the dumpcheck thing is a script. check it out.

Subject: dumpcheck...copy directory too small

After upgrading to AIX 5 I am seeing many messages in the error log relating
to dumpcheck...copy directory is too small.

What is dumpcheck and what is required to get rid of these errors?

John
