Bill, thanks, I can't believe I thought I was running 64bit all along and
wasn't.
I took one of our old 7017-S70 RS/6000s and converted to 64bit and Oracle
9.2.0.4 64bit seems to be running fine but I get this message when I run
cfgmgr;

<mccs70>#cfgmgr

Method error (/usr/lib/methods/cfgppa_isa -l ppa0 ):

0514-038 Error loading kernel extension.

<mccs70>#rmdev -dl ppa0

ppa0 deleted

<mccs70>#cfgmgr

Method error (/usr/lib/methods/cfgppa_isa -l ppa0 ):

0514-038 Error loading kernel extension.

As you can see, the error concerns a parallel port (which we don't use), I
deleted it but still have same error. Have any ideas?

thanks.

Mark Lamport
