I have an RS6000 F50 AIX 433 and I need to add some disk space
I have an external disk bay HP netserver storage system 6 with 6 x 18.2 GB
scsi disks
I connected it on the F50 external scsi connector (30-58)
The system sets the 6 disks as available (smit devices/hard disks/list
defined disks) and gives the right scsi path (30-58-00-1,0 for example)
the problem is when I try to make a new vg on it (smit system
memory/logical volumes/volume groups/add) I get the following errors :
0516-024 mkvg : unable to open the physical volume
0516-862 mkvg : unable to create a volume group
...
0514-047 : unable to access a device (/etc/methods/chgdisk)
I really need those 100 GB more disk and I'd appreciate any clue or advice
