using bigbrother right now, also used nagios....used nagios to monitor, and both sendpage and qpage to actually send the alerts.

Just wondering what everyong uses for being notified of system errors like a tape drive offline or a disk offline etc... I was thinking about some sort of pager application using a serial modem but thought I would ask here first and get some ideas.
Sometimes you aren't at work to check root's email so I wanted another way to find out about problems.
