here is how i get it to work on a AIX 4.3.3 Server
configurescript for apache 1.3.26
./configure --with-perl=/usr/bin/perl --with-port=80

--enable-shared=status --enable-shared=info --enable-shared=include

--enable-shared=asis --enable-shared=imap --enable-shared=actions
--enable-shared=sp
eling --enable-shared=userdir --enable-shared=alias
--enable-shared=rewrite --enable-shared=access --enable-shared=auth
--enable-shared=au
th_anon --enable-shared=auth_dbm --enable-shared=digest
--enable-shared=cern_meta --enable-shared=expires --enable-shared=headers
--enable
-shared=usertrack --enable-shared=unique_id --enable-shared=setenvif
after that --> make --> make install
configurescript for php 4.2.3
export LDFLAGS="-lC"
./configure --with-apxs=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs
--enable-force-cgi-redirect --enable-safe-mode --enable-magic-quotes
--with-zlib=/usr/local
--without-mysql --with-oci8 --enable-sigchild --enable-shared
after that do a 'make' --> you will get some warnings and errors -->
ignore it
IMPORTANT!! copy "./.libs/libphp4.so.0" to "./libs/libphp4.so"
and type "make install"

Anyone have experience installing PHP4 on AIX for use
with Oracle? I've just recently received a request to
put it on an AIX 4.3.3 server, and I'm thinking about
going to the Linux toolbox page to download a smit
installable version of PHP. However, I'm concerned
about if it will be able to connect to Oracle right
out of the box.
Anyone have any suggestions?
