Hello Volker,

I am using your suggestion for configuring php. The
config seemed to work just fine, but the make is
failing with this message:

ld: 0706-006 Cannot find or open library file: -l
ocijdbc8
        ld:open(): No such file or directory
make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is
255.

I believe that I have my env vars set ok:

CLASSPATH=/oracle/app/oracle/product/8.1.7/jdbc/lib:/oracle/app/oracle/product/8.1.7/lib
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib:/oracle/app/oracle/product/8.1.7/lib:/oracle/app/oracle/product/8.1.7/jdbc/lib
LIBPATH=/oracle/app/oracle/product/8.1.7/lib:/usr/lib:/oracle/app/oracle/product/8.1.7/jdbc/lib
ORACLE_BASE=/oracle/app/oracle
ORACLE_HOME=/oracle/app/oracle/product/8.1.7
ORACLE_SID=TEST

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

-StephenS
