It's a very good idea to have two non-mirrored dump LV's, but remember to
set precedence:

sysdumpdev -P -p /dev/dumplvdev1 # Big P is for permanent, little p is for
primary.
sysdumpdev -P -s /dev/dumplvdev2 # Big P is for permanent, little s is for
secondary.

Your task sound similar to one I wrote a short procedure for
