Greetings list,

AIX 4.3.3 on H50

I need to mirror rootvg. I added hdisk2 and 3 in order to do this.

lsvg -p rootvg
rootvg:
PV_NAME PV STATE TOTAL PPs FREE PPs FREE DISTRIBUTION
hdisk0 active 537 117 00..08..00..36..73
hdisk5 active 537 130 22..00..00..00..108
hdisk7 active 537 266 108..00..00..50..108
hdisk2 active 537 537 108..107..107..107..108
hdisk3 active 537 537 108..107..107..107..108

lsvg -l rootvg
rootvg:
LV NAME TYPE LPs PPs PVs LV STATE MOUNT POINT
hd5 boot 1 1 1 closed/syncd N/A
hd6 paging 256 256 1 open/syncd N/A
hd8 jfslog 1 1 1 open/syncd N/A
hd4 jfs 52 52 2 open/syncd /
hd2 jfs 397 397 2 open/syncd /usr
hd9var jfs 10 10 2 open/syncd /var
hd3 jfs 12 12 2 open/syncd /tmp
hd1 jfs 1 1 1 closed/syncd /syshome
cdump jfs 135 135 1 open/syncd N/A
cdumpfs jfs 136 136 1 closed/syncd /crashdumpfs
lv02 jfs 25 25 1 closed/syncd /tmp/fixes
lvusers jfs 72 72 2 open/syncd /users

hdisk7 contains the dump space, so I don't want to mirror it. right?

hdisk7:
LV NAME LPs PPs DISTRIBUTION MOUNT POINT
cdump 135 135 00..107..28..00..00 N/A
cdumpfs 136 136 00..00..79..57..00 /crashdumpfs

what would the syntax be for the mirrorvg command?
mirrorvg -m hdisk0 hdisk5 hdisk2 hdisk3?

after I run that command, I know I have to run bosboot -a
then I have to run bootlist -o -m normal, but what hdisk?'s should be the
parameter?
hdisk0 hdisk5 hdisk2 hdisk3?

then finally I have to shutdown -R.

BTW, is my
cdump jfs 135 135 1 open/syncd N/A
cdumpfs jfs 136 136 1 closed/syncd /crashdumpfs

Is my type incorrect for my crash dump partition (cdump).
