Well,,

I've seen only one document and it has some pretty specific
instructions on:

Files to backup
Configuration changes
etc...

(I'd give ya the web page, but it appears that their site is down)

I'll try to contact it again later and send the link

Thanks!

Dave-

I haven't see a "5L Upgrade Guide" either- but i've done quite a few
"migration installs" without a problem from CD and NIM. Is there someting
specific your concerned about?

here are some notes i made for our environment AFTER the UPDATE is complete
(not sure if that helps now :)...

HOUSEKEEPING STEPS AFTER 5L UPGRADE
remove /u link to /home
run "automount" to update automounter
lsof for 5.1 needs to be installed
turn off 64bit emulation mode "smitty load64bit"

Subject: AIX4 to AIX5 upgrade

Folks,

I've been looking through the IBM website for any documents on the
procedure
to upgrade AIX 4.3 to AIX 5.1L.

Saw a lot of stuff for AIX4.X but nothing to AIX5

Any help pointing me in the right direction?

Thanks!
