Re: date rolled back to 2000

I did not get the "TZ= date" command to work.
echo $TZ shows PST8PDT on all of the servers. /etc/environment also shows
PST8PDT.
I ran /usr/sbin/acct/fwtmp < /var/adm/wtmp > dummy.file. This shows when
the year changed, but I still don't know how it changed.
Ross Alexander suggest we load NTP 4. Sounds like a good idea.
Why or how this happened may be one of those mysteries that remains
unsolved.

I did talk to IBM Tech Support, we are the only customer that reported this
problem, so the problem is unique to our environment. The only suggestion
they had is to load APAR IY34798.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Could it be a "foolish" TZ variable content ?
You may run "TZ= date" command to get the UTC time on each machine (must
be
close values everywhere) and compare.
