We did stop xntpd, as it was a suspect. The time server syncs HP and SUN
boxes as well. The HP and SUN boxes did not have the date roll back
problem.
Any other tips on how to determine what the cause was?

If you run time synchronization (xntpd or timed), check your master server.

We have several RS/6000s running AIX 4.3.3_ML10. Between 8:31 and 8:41 PST
the year changed to 2000 on ALL AIX servers. I don't have an explanation
as
to why or how this happened. There are not any errors in the error logs.
Has anyone else experienced this?
