Any ideas? I created an ora pfile for this database I'm trying to create
and when I goto start it I get:
$ ./svrmgrl

Oracle8i Release 8.1.6.0.0 - Production
JServer Release 8.1.6.0.0 - Production
SVRMGR> connect internal/sysdba;
Connected.
SVRMGR> startup nomount;
ORA-27123: unable to attach to shared memory segment
IBM AIX RISC System/6000 Error: 13: Permission denied
I even tried "startup nomount pfile='/path/pfile'
still same thing. Any ideas? thanks!.
