I was actually thinking it would be useful in your sort of environment,
(by the sound of it).

If you've got just one administrator, then it doesn't matter what he/she
does because they'll know. Where this sort of technique might be useful
is when you have several administrators, especially if you can't rely on
them checking documentation for updates before doing anything. (Which
could be because they're inexperienced/incompetent, or because they're
experienced and cocky.)

Somebody who is unfamiliar with things, looking in crontab to see if
anything is scheduled for a Tuesday evening will see a script, and assume
that it runs _every_ Tuesday.
