64bit os means data and addressspace uses 64bit
4.3.3 uses 32bit data structures -> not completely 64bit

if you call /etc/methods/cfg64 at boottime, 64bit apps will run and can
use more than 4gb of memory

if not, every process can only use 4gb, but f.e. 2 processes can use 8gb
(only 90% sure here)
