If I'm not mistaken, isn't LVM public domain ? I'm sure there are several
versions out there, it's just that I like the AIX implementation of it
best.

One advantage that Veritas has is it can journal data as well as meta-data.
Something JFS and JFS2 cannot do (journals only meta-data).
