Hi,

It's possible.

Environment PSSP in this case is the samething
that standalone machines.

Boot in maintenance mode and you will see one
option with the name "Shrink filesystems".

This is possible only to filesystems OS and no
to filesystems the other volume group.

But for this will be necessary you restoure the
image backup.

In AIX terms no!!!. You'll need to backup that logical volume(fs). Delete
it, recreate it with desired size then restore the data, and since it's
root. You'll have to do it in either "SINGLE USER MODE" or reinstall the
O/S. I don't know how SP's work though and I'm assuming this is an SP
environment with the term "node".

Hi All;

Environment:
SP Model 9076 (1 Frame w/ 7 nodes)
AIX 4.3.3 ML8
P.S.S.P 3.2
ptfset 8

Is it possible to shrink /dev/hd4 - "/" on a specific node? And if so
would I follow the same procedures as shrinking /usr? Whoever setup this
cluster allocated too much rootvg space to / and I'd like to reclaim some
of it (1.3GB) on node1 if poissible - as I need it pretty bad.

If it is possible, has anyone had any expeience with this sort of thing?

Thanks;
Theresa
