That will cover only the domain, not rewrite the user ID of the outbound
mail.

You want to set up a generics table to rewrite the outbound headers. You
can find this documented in the mailing list archives and @
www.sendmail.org.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Hi,

I am trying to set up sendmail in that way it mapps the FROM field
"root@myhost.mydomain.dom" to "user@otherdomain.dom" for outgoing mails.

I have found some documentation about this. But i am falling in setting
this up:-(

Could someone lead me through this step-by-step?

AIX is at 4.3.3-ML10.

Many thanks in advance!
