Socket Failure (Oracle 8.1.7)

Hi All,

We have Oracle 8.7.1 Running on a RS/6000 with AIX 5.1.. We are noticing
the following errors when the listener is being started.

"SMUX socket failure: protocol wrong type for socket"

Been searching Oracle and IBM but not have found anything as of yet. Also
There is a client machine (Sun 3500) running "DataDirect ODBC Oracle Wire
Protocol" connecting to the RS/6000.. Been in touch with DataDirect as
well. So far can't pin point it.
