TruCluster ASE - Changing clusteralias host and IP address

Hi Everybody,

I have a pair of AS4100 v4.0F clusters which has already been decommissioned
some years ago however the business decided to re-activate this cluster for
testing purposes. The situation is that this cluster setup contains the
exact configuration as our newer ES40 4.0F clusters which had replaced the
AS4100s. I need to provide a new set of hostname and IP addresses to both
servers and the cluster alias to prevent any network conflicts with our
production cluster.

So far I've started the servers in single-user mode to prevent ASE from
starting. I have also already modified the hostnames and IP addresses of the
AS4100s but I'm a little lost on how to go about modifying my cluster alias
IP and hostname.

Given that both clusters share the exact cluster alias identities, how do I
modify the AS4100 cluster alias hostname and IP address without starting ASE
and without reconfiguring ASE from scratch? I'm guessing I'll need to hack
into the /var/ase/config/asecdb to modify the cluster alias configuration
but what utility can edit this file without starting ASE itself?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Regards,
Bobby
