Hi,

Thank you to the following persons for providing such prompt responses
to this problem:

I used 'usermod -x administrative_lock_applied=0 informix' to unlock the
account, then I reset the password. Other options are:

1) Use a script with:
        usermod -x grace_limit=1 informix
        usermod -x administrative_lock_applied=0 informix

2) /usr/sbin/usermod -x passwd_lifetime=0 informix /usr/sbin/usermod -x
administrative_lock_applied=0 informix

(The second sets an infinite password lifetime).

Hello Managers,

I run a Tru64 UNIX system with Enhanced Security and an Informix
database.

I attempted to change the Informix password by going to /etc and using
the 'passwd' command. However, I got the message 'Password not changed:
password lifetime has expired'.

Any idea how I can reset this password? Thanks in advance.
