SUMMARY: ssh: setld conflict when updating

I got the following additional comments from a member of the HP Tru64 Unix SSH team that I thought might be useful to the group.

In summary, the SSH v3.2.0 installed with Tru64 5.1b-3 is actually a later build than the SSH v3.2.3 on the HP website, and even though the website download is marked as being for "Tru64 5.1a or later" it is actually intended for "Tru64 5.1a ONLY".

"
Please be aware that the SSH kit available via the HP website is for use on a V5.1A systems ONLY.

The SSH that is available with the Tru64 5.1B-3 (pk5) contains all of the latest fixes available for our SSH. The SSH that ships as part of HP Tru64 Unix V5.1B is based on the SSH toolkit version 3.2.0 from SafeNET (was SSH communications, see www.ssh.com).

Due to legal reasons, the version number you see when you do "ssh -V" is the SSH toolkit version number 3.2.0, but our SSH has some additional functionality and fixes. We continue to release patches to the SSH bits as part of the aggregate patch kits.

Thanks to Ann Majeske, Tom Blinn and Roberto Romani for very quick answers!

Conclusion:
If you have V5.1B, so NOT install the SSH kit from the website!
That kit is meant for older Tru64 versions only.
Keeping abreast with 5.1B system patches will keep SSH up-to-date.

Best,
Hans
