NIS question

I have NIS configured on my system (all Tru64 v4.0f) with a master
and slave. The slave died so I tried to replace it with a different
workstation. I ran nissetup on the new slave (and also on the master,
I believe) and changed /etc/rc.config but still (even after rebooting),
whenever I run yppasswd it tries to contact the original slave until it
times out. (It doesn't seem to update the data on the new slave.)

What am I missing here since I obviously did this wrong?
