AW: FSTAB OVERWRITTEN SYSTEM CANNOT BOOT

Hi Jane,

hope you know how your disked are to be mounted. Hopefully you printed out
/etc/fstab sometime ago.

In single mode you have to mount the disks manually, for example for an
advfs filesystem

   /sbin/mount -t advfs usr_dmn#user1 /usr/user1

But you have to know how your domains and filesets are named.

Good luck.

Mit freundlichem Gruß/Yours sincerely

Betreff: FSTAB OVERWRITTEN SYSTEM CANNOT BOOT

Hello again,

Due to a faulty restore my fstab has been overwritten. The system came down
to single user and I wanted to boot from genvmunix and rebuild the kernal
but I cannot mount any disks.

When I try to use /sbin/mount -u it reports a ufs_mount mount device
does not match fstab. This is due to the fact the my fstab has an old
configuration.

Please help
