tcpwrappers when sending e-mail

Hi managers,

we run Tru64 V5.1a PK5 on an AS that is configuered with Internet Express V6.1 as:
sendmail-, pop3-, IMAP-Server.

Sending and receiving mail was possible through every tested "mail-client" !

Now we wanted to add the pop3s-service.
We succeeded after installing openssl-0.9.7d (base-directory: /usr).
The secure pop3s-service runs fine,
but it was no longer possible to send mail from any "mail-client"!
The message in the "mail.log" is:

-Apr 1 ..... mailsrv sendmail[...]: i31BBgqk003051: tcpwrappers
(lidape.mpch-mainz.......) rejection-

where lidape.... is the PC where the mail-client is running
and "tcpwrapper" is not explicitly installed on "mailsrv" !!

Any idea where the tcpwrapper is running and how it can be stopped???

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

Martin Körfer
