Booting Install CD at lower than optimal video resolution

Hello,

I am setting up a 'new' ES-40 with TRU64 5.1A. My problem is that the
CD boots the video card (PBXGB-AA) in a resolution that isn't supported
by the LCD screen in the rack. Is there some way to force the install
CD to boot at 1024X768? Once past this problem, how can I configure the
newly installed kernel to start the CDE at 1024X768?
