Thanks to all that helped, I was amazed at the good & speedy responces.
I won't mention any names due to privacy.

The answer is yes. If your files systems are AdvFS and if you have the
AdvFS Utilities License. Your data is in domains already and all you
have to do is add one disk of equal or greater size to the domain and
then withdraw the old disk and the data will migrate automatically
without operational interruption.
Other conventional options was like a tar or vdump piped to vrestore
which requires an outage.

Thanks for your help to everyone involved.
Adrian

Subject: Move Data between disks command.

Hi,

Is there a command/tool that will allow you to move the contents of a
disk to another disk while the data is online. Sorry to compare UNIX's
but I know in AIX you can "mirgatepv" where you add a disk to a Logical
Volume (domain) and then you can just migrate the data to the new disk
then remove the old disk, all with out an outage.
Now I looked at the "migrate" command but that looks like one file at a
time thing. Any ideas ??

Thanks in advance,
Adrian
