Usermod Question

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to both the list and Tru64 Unix. I was given an Compaq AlphaServer
ES40LP running Tru64 5.1 to maintain. Not knowing anything about Tru64 Unix,
my background is mostly Solaris with a dash of HP/UX and AIX, this was a
daunting task. My question is in regards to setting up user accounts and the
basic requirements of the accounts. Basically I need accounts to be setup as
following:

Passwords must be minimum of 8 characters
Passwords expire in 365 days
Accounts lock themselves after 5 failed login attempts in 5 minutes
Passwords must pass complexity check (somewhat optional, but would be nice)

Now, I've looked through the various guides, documents and man pages, and it
seems like I've figured out what I want to do, but it doesn't work. I've got
the Enhanced Security package installed:

setld -i | grep "C2" returns:
OSFC2SEC520 installed Enhanced Security (System
Administration)
OSFXC2SEC520 installed Enhanced Security GUI (System
Administration)

It seems to me that I should be able to use usermod to make changes to the
default password configurations, using the extended attributes to do this,
but running the command:

usermod -D -x passwd_lifetime=365

gives me the error message:

usermod: Invalid command line option - passwd-lifetime=365

Obviously, I'm missing something somewhere. I've checked to ensure I'm using
the right extended options, and I've tried other extended options to the
same effect. I'm able to use usermod to make default changes to the
non-extended options though.

Anyone have any thoughts? Summary to follow if anyone sends me anything.

Thanks.
