Hello Managers,

I have a 2 node ES-40 cluster running version 5.1A patch kit one and has a oracle database. I have been asked to come up with a solution that would provide the ability for the DBA's to send out file (mainly .pdf files)attachments using UNIX mail/mailx. I have done a lot of research and have found several methods to accomplish the task, however, I would much like to get the thoughts of the forum, you guys.

I have found that uuencode works well for attaching the files, but most of the internet email providers are not able to decode the attachment correctly. I have also found mpack and mutt that do work just fine. I have also briefly looked at pine and metamail. Was wanted to see what you all thought would be the best solution, or maybe have other ways to attach files. Thanks for your time.
