simple question: Does anyone know if there is a NIS client cache on Tru64 available somehow?
The situation is this:
We have a Tru64 5.1A machine which is a NIS client. On that machine we have a software that makes extensive use of NIS (yp) queries. (Don't ask why, we don't know it either.) All of these queries go straight to the NIS server which on one hand loads it and which takes quite some time.
Any thoughts are welcome. I found very few on NIS at all on the archive and in the newsgroups.
