The date format in the SRM is different to the date format in Unix,
although the SRM will show the correct date Unix will interpret it
differently, probably be years out.

The SRM console does have a command both to display the system clock
and to set it. However, it was designed to be compatible with OpenVMS
date/time keeping methods, and the values contained it the system clock
are not settable in a useful way from the SRM console prompt if you are
going to run UNIX on the system.
In other words, don't waste your time.. Boot to single user mode and
mount your local file systems, then set the time from the system console.
