Thanks to HP phone support for their help in resolving this problem. The problem was local dns box had two entries with the same ip address that my pc had. My unix box was getting back the wrong host name for my pc when it attempted authentication and would not open up the Samba configuration menu. I got the network / NT guy to remove the offending entry, restarted Samba and the problem went away.

Original note

I just loaded the Samba 228a patch on my 5.1 pk 6 system. I have been following the Internet Express admin guide working to get it configured. Under the Samba Server Administration selection there is an option to Configure the Samba Server which the instructions indicate that I should do. When I select this option my browser comes back with a "The page cannot be found" . It is looking for it on port 901. The Samba server is running.

Anyone have any experience with this? I called HP but it appears that Samba is freeware and is not supported.
