UPDATE: PVIS not working anymore

Dear alphists,
I'm sorry to say that I have not been able to let PVIS run again.
Even others are having the same problem (is'nt it Martin?)

I tried to create the old legacy device files (using dsmgr -O)
but pvis always returns the same error:

Assertion failed: disk->diskname != NULL, file /local/gearoid/src/sierra/cpq/pvis/libppm/structures.c, line 518
Abort (core dumped)

I did the test on a Non-cluster machine since on clusters it is
impossible to create old legacy devices.

Anyway, thanks to Iain Barker for his help

Ciao from Italy,

Emanuele
