video display on KVM

Hello all,

We just had 2 servers moved from one older KVM switch to a newer one and now
the display is garbled. The non-Unix machines that are connected to this
KVM display fine but the 2 alpha servers (a DS20e and an AS800 5/500) don't
display at all. The people 'in charge' of the KVM say the display is
garbled because the refresh rate is too high. I've never had to deal with a
video issue on an alphaserver -- does this explanation sound reasonable? If
so how do I change it? If not -- any thoughts why it's garbled? The DS20E
has an Elsa Gloria card and while I think the 800 does too I don't see any
messages in /var/adm/messages referencing any video card. I've looked in
the hardware manuals and can't find any reference to refresh rate. Is it a
hardware or software setting?

Thanks,
Andy
