I am experiencing some issues when running certain applications, and I
believe it may be related to the configuration of my display card.
The system in question is a Digital Personal WorkStation 600au
running Tru64 UNIX 5.1a with a PowerStorm 4D51T video card.
When running applications such as xtar, I recieved such a
message:
"X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
Major opcode of failed request: 72 (X_PutImage)
Serial number of failed request: 783
Current serial number in output stream: 785"
I also am having problems running matlab, sometimes it runs and
other times it will just abort, however no specific error messages
as to why.
The suspicion is that it might be a color depth problem. Does anyone
know how to view/change the settings for the resolution, and depth for
this type of card?
Any help, suggestions or ideas greatly appreciated.
