Dear all,

I'm trying to diagnose what may or may not be a memory problem on one of my systems. It's a TS20, running Tru64 Unix v5.1a, PK2.

My question is about the following vmstat output:

stupid.machine> vmstat -s

Virtual Memory Statistics: (pagesize = 8192)
     55776 active pages
     49454 inactive pages
    178892 free pages
     62039 wired pages
4595636327 virtual memory page faults
 267019819 copy-on-write page faults
 901958715 zero fill page faults
      1234 reattaches from reclaim list
2419923874 pages paged in
         0 pages paged out
29086941532 task and thread context switches
1081035253 device interrupts
11596968469 system calls

Why are there so many page-ins, and nothing is paged out?

Any hints would be helpful, thanks!

nikolai
