OK,

Thanks to all the help on this one. It turned out to be
Persistent Reservations by the original cluster. Here is a good short
explanation of what these are and how to remove them in a non-clustered
environment:

I was able to easily re-layout the disk mappings (/dev/disk/dsk*)
to match the original layout. One thing to be aware of is you're swap file
if you rename you're current boot disk, you'll need to change
/etc/sysconfigtab to reflect the change. The command is 'dfsmgr -m dsk# dsk@'

I used advscan to find domains on my disks. This creates my links
in /etc/fdmns. Once I had that I just mounted them on /mnt to make sure
they were OK and then renamed the directory in /etc/fdmns to what I wanted
them to be.
                 '/sbin/advfs/advscan -r dsk16 dsk17 dsk25 dsk26 dsk23'

If you have any questions, please let me know.

         thanks,

         Paul
