Hello,
I had a great Birthday present today.
I have a DecServer 700-08 print server that had a fire today. It burned
and the operator smelled the smoke and shut down it and the other
DecServer 700 we had.
Anyhow, I had 3 supported pieces in the one that burned. 1 vt520 and 2
modems. This server is a serial 25 pin connector.
In the other server which is the mmj type of connection, there is 16
ports with only 3 being used. Is there a way to connect the modems
directly to the other server??
I have a few adapters (Digital H8571-F) that connect to a mmj and serial
DB25 pin connector. There are only 5 pins in them, I have used these
adapters to connect different things like VT320 and bar code printers to
the DecServer. The pins that are there are 2, 3, 6, 7 and 20.
If I don't have to continue service for the blown one it would be great.
I am on hold with the NEW HP.
