Which version of tru64?

We are upgrading our cluster from tru64 v5.1 this summer to v5.1a or v5.1b.
Are there any compelling reasons to go to (or not go to) v5.1b right now?
If we decide to go to 5.1b - can we do a direct update - or do we have to go
to 5.1a first?

Any input would be appreciated.
