Dear managers,
I don't know if this is the right place for my question. But I think it
is at least a 50% Tru64 question.
We are running the PBSPro version 5.2.2 in a cluster environment.
We have two servers, let them call serverA and serverB. We have
installed
a cluster alias named pbs for these two server.
Our aim is to have a kind of available server environment. If for
example
serverA crashes the PBS server should flip over to serverB.
But, due to the license stuff, we are not able to choose the server on
which the PBS server is running. When building the licence a string is
generated depending on the hostname.
Does anybody know we can force the PBS server not to use the hostname of
the server but the cluster alias (pbs in our case)?
Is there any way to build the PBS software in such a 'highly available'
environment.
By the way: we are using TruCluster 5.1
Thanks for any hints
