Managers,
I have a repeating problem where I cant rsh or telnet into several servers.
This has happened three times in the last month on different servers.
I'm running V4.0F PK2
Symptoms are cant telnet or rsh, but once on a telnet I did get the login
prompt after about an hour!!.
There seems to be a correlation between the maxuprc for uid 902 and the
telnet/rsh problems. But I don't see why user uid902 (none root) should stop
root inetd spawning a telnetd then a login then ultimately a shell when
trying to get in as root..
I have seen in the patch notes the Patch below:

Patch: System hang prevents rlogins or telnets
State: Existing
This patch fixes a problem where systems could hang in the audit
code, preventing rlogins or telnets into it.
But my system has it installed from a setld -i | grep telnet
Has anyone had similar problems??.
