I have setup a 5.1a cluster, when I did the disk partitioning for the
member boot disks, I allocated
for 4 members for possible future expansion. As this cluster is in
"development", when I added
the members I added them as members 3 and 4.
My thinking was/is, when I go to production with this cluster, I would
add my current production boxes
to the cluster as members 1 and 2 and drop the "development" members
(members 3 and 4)
By not having members 1 and 2, could this cause any unforseen problems,
especially with regards
to an Oracle RAC implementation.
