Pulling FDDI Net card and Replacing with 1Gig DEGPS-SA

We currently have a 100Mbps FDDI network card in our Alpha 4100 running
Tru64 version 4.0F. We have purchased a 1GB SX-Fiber Ethernet Adapter Module
(Model DEGPA-SA/Part # 151787-B21). Does anyone have the proper
configuration
information for installing this board? We installed it but the system didn't
recognize the board. We don't use the genvmunix so we can't get the device
id
for the new board.

We also want to set up a 100Mbps DE500-XA Ethernet board as a backup in case
of the gig board failing. Due to PCI Slot limitations we will not be able to
have both installed at the same time. Any advice on removing the FDDI board
and setting up the 1Gig with the 100Mb as an out of box backup? We don't
have
a test system to work with so we have to do it as a one shot effort.

Thanks in advance
Baxter
