Printing multiple copies of documents on Tru64Unix 5.1a PK3

Submitted this awhile back. Hoped that installation of PK3 would have taken
care of it, but alas it has not.

I'm trying to print multiple copies of documents to the printer. I have
tried using:

lp -d printername -n 3 filename
lpr -#3 -Pprintername filename

The printer will spit out just one copy of the document and that's all. I
have tried this on several different types of printers and the results are
the same. Anyone else fought this battle and won?

I have talked to several people about installing Advanced Printing and was
told it was more trouble that it's worth and probably wouldn't fix it.
We're running Tru64 5.1a PK3. Any useful input would be appreciated.
