SUMMARY: ES45: revision of Memory Channel Controller CCMAB-AA

Dear gurus,
I had the final answer to my question from COMPAQ and from people of the
list (thanks to Selden, Rich, Kevin and Peter).

Differences in hardware revision numbers indicate differences in
electronic circuitry, not just differences in firmware.
It might be possible to get a replacement as part of your hardware
maintenance contract, but you'd have to verify that.

So I'll ask HPQ for the replacement of the CCMAB-AA .
Thanks to everybody

Emanuele.
