Network services hanging.

Hello Again!

  Quick question for you..

We just got in a GS160 (5.1 just upgraded to 5.1A and patched w/ pk3),
and I've got it networked with another tru64 ES45 (5.1A pk3) machine via
a cross-over cable. Both have multiple network interfaces.

The interface on which they both talk is GS160- 10.0.0.5/24 and ES45
10.0.0.253/24 Just arbitrary assignments. I can ping either machine
from both ends, but if I try to telnet, ssh, or ftp from the ES45 to the
GS160 it hangs. Telnet shows that it gets the connection, but I never
get the login prompt. If I leave that login session just hanging and go
to the GS160 and open a corresponding connection to itself (which works
fine), I will get the login prompt on the the connection that is hung,
and then I can proceed. Anyone every run into this problem before?

P.S. I've made sure, using the lan_config command that the interfaces
are the same speed, same duplex setting, on both machines. Still
happens.

My thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Sheldon.
