I'm trying to determine what to replace a GS140 with, and the question is
could an ES40 be a suitable replacement? In a nutshell, are fewer faster
CPUs better than more slower CPUs?
I've reviewed the numbers available from specbench.org and find that an
eight-way GS140 6/525 is about 10% faster than a four-way ES40 6/883. Does
anyone have any real world experience, especially from the Oracle
perspective, of such a migration?
