The answer is that TZ88N-AX is a Quantum DLT4000 and its doc is
available on the Quantum's web site www.quantum.com .
I downloaded from there a very nice 300 pages pdf manual.
Among the replies I received the following:
Digital never understood the need to put basic product
documentation on the Internet. Part of may have had
something to do with group that printed it being a
profit center. Compaq tried to ignore everything
Digital and was fairly successful, so it didn't bother
putting information on the net for older Digital things.
HP has tried to ignore both Compaq and Digital, so it
won't change things.
