I'm in the process of renumbering our network. The next hurdle is to
change the IP number of the alpha file servers (Tru64 4.0F).
Tests I've run indicate that when the servers reboot with the new ip numbers
clients won't recover any mounts from before the reboot. (The test client
just hung when the test server was rebooted with the new IP).
I was hoping I could renumber each server one at a time to keep disruptions
to a minimum but it now looks like I'll have to do them all together and
reboot every client on the network at the same time.
Is there anyway I can switch the IP numbers of these servers without rebooting
every client (Linux and Tru64)?
Thanks
