Increasing Shared Memory: shmx ?

Hi gurus,

I have a problem with an application in that it won't execute more than
about 127 times. I think the problem is allocating shared memory, as if I
run the shared memory excerciser "shmx" when near the 127 invocations, it
gives a fault,

shmx: Shmget[0] Fault: No space left on device

whereas on the same unloaded system 'shmx' works ok.
How do I increase the total available shared memory on a 5.1A system?
In 4.0 there was a shmmni kernel parameter, but I can't see anything like
that in 5.1.

Any feedback appreciated !

Paul
