Folks,

I have inherited a Tru64 UNIX v4.0F (patch kit 4) running a TruCluster v1.6
environment with two GS-60E's. I have observed the following problem when
rebooting the cluster member hosting the disk service whenever the other
cluster member is down. The system being rebooted starts to boot and then
hangs .... If this system is shutdown to the console level first and then
booted everything works fine.

Here is the section of the boot process where it appears to hang :

rm_sw_init: begin MC initialization
rm_boot_am_i_alone: entered
Checking for existing memory channel nodes ....

There is no progress for more than 15 minutes ... so I am assuming this is
a hang situation. If I do a hard reset on the system, it does an init and
then successfully reboots, bringing up the service.

Has anyone seen this type of behavior? Any ideas on what might be causing
this would be appreciated. I am in a quandry as to what might be causing
this. I would appreciate any insights on this. Thanks!
